Dynamite Entertainment will launch a new Stitch comic series in August, following the premiere of the new Lilo and Stitch live-action animated remake of the 2002 animated film this weekend.
The comic series will be written by Connor Ratliff and James III, who've worked on Fairly OddParents: A New Wish, Tiny Dinos, and Dead Eyes, with art by Italian artist Greta Xella, who’s connected to Mirka Andolfo's Arancia Studio.
The story brings together Stitch creator Dr. Jumba Jookiba, who's going on a spree of evil inventions to accrue Villain Points, Earth expert Agent Pleakely, who's trying to rein him in, and Stitch, who ruins each new invention.
The first issue and later issues will feature covers by Edwin Galmon, Jae Lee, Ciro Cangialosi, and Jennifer L. Meyer.
