WGN America has acquired rights to the Vertigo title Scalped, and is putting the property into development as a series, according to Hollywood Reporter. The script has been assigned to Doug Jung, who exec produced and wrote Dark Blue, and exec produced a season of Big Love (and wrote two episodes).
The Vertigo series, now available as ten graphic novels, was written by Jason Aaron with art by R.M. Guera. The storyline sets an organized crime drama against the background of current Native American culture.
