Monkeybrain co-founder and co-publisher Allison Baker has joined IDW Publishing as its new Director of Operations.
Monkeybrain launched a creator-owned digital comics line in 2012 (see "Monkeybrain Launches Digital-First Line"), and established a print publication partnership with IDW last year (see "IDW to Publish Monkeybrain Comics"). Monkeybrain continues to publish, and Baker will continue to be involved in the company.
"I’ve been impressed with Allison’s skill set since we started working with her, publishing the Monkeybrain titles," said Ted Adams, IDW CEO and Publisher. "When this position opened up, she was the first person I thought of, and I’m excited she was able to accept it."
Baker was Director of Operations for Robert Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios from 2002 to 2005, and spent the last eight years as Director of Production at Joe Slade White and Co., a political media consultancy firm.
