San Diego Comic-Con News: Patrick Wilson (Watchmen), who won "the last major role in Ant-Man" back in February (see "Geek Movie Round-Up"), will not be at the Marvel Studios presentation in Hall H. Marvel’s decision to dismiss director Edgar Wright caused a delay in the production (see "Marvel Loses a Director"), which has made it impossible for Wilson to act in Ant-Man, which begins production next month under the direction of Peyton Reid.
Deadline also reports that two other Ant-Man actors, Matt Gerard and Kevin Weisman are no longer in the movie, because their characters didn’t make into the revised Ant-Man screenplay, which was written by Adam McKay (see "New Director, Writer on 'Ant-Man'").
Paul Rudd (Scott Lang) and Michael Douglas (Hank Pym) remain in the production, and Deadline strongly hints that Evangeline Lily will be joining the Ant-Man cast.
