Anna Paquin’s scenes as Rogue didn’t make the final theatrical cut for X-Men: Days of Future Past (see "'X-Men' Movie News"), but now they will be added back and re-released as the “Rogue Cut” next summer for home video release, Variety is reporting.
X-Men: DOFP writer and producer Simon Kinberg announced the release during his promotional tour for the digital and home video release of the theatrical version of the movie. More than 10 minutes of footage will be added, which will restore the Rogue subplot as well as scenes involving other characters. "It’s a big chunk, a substantial part of the movie. We want to give (fans) the fullest picture of the film--behind the camera, and in front of it," Kinberg said.
Kinberg also revealed more about the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie on another recent promotional stop (see "'X-Men: Apocalypse' Characters Shift").
