Marvel has announced several new series for early 2015, including Spider-Gwen, Return of the Living Deadpool, Operation S.I.N., and Ant-Man.

Introduced as part of the current Spider-Man "Spider-Verse" storyline (see "Teams, Covers for 'Edge of Spider-Verse'"), the new Spider-Gwen series will launch in February, written by Jason Latour (Edge of Spider-Verse, Wolverine and the X-Men) with art by Robbi Rodriguez (Edge of Spider-Verse, All-New X-Men).  In the alternate universe, the drum-playing, rebellious Gwen Stacy was the one bitten by the radioactive spider, not Peter Parker.  Now Gwen will have to prove to the NYPD that she’s not a costumed menace, especially since her father is the police captain tasked with bringing down the vigilante crime-fighter.

January will see the launch of the Return of the Living Deadpool limited series, written by Cullen Bunn (The Sixth Gun, Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe),  with art by Nik Virella (G.I. Joe, Greenwood), and cover by Jay Shaw (Night of the Living Deadpool).  Wade Wilson’s healing factor stops the zombie outbreak, because every time a zombie bites him, it regenerates into another Deadpool.  So soon a horde of zombies is being battled by a horde of Deadpools.  But much like a copy of a photocopy, the Deadpools degrade, and latch on to different pieces of Wade’s fractured psyche.  Soon factions form, and conflict is imminent.

Another limited series launching in January is Operation S.I.N., which ties to the events of the Original Sin (see "Killer of The Watcher To Be Revealed"), as an origin story of the Marvel Universe.  Peggy Carter, Howard Stark and Woodrow McCord battle the secretive Hydra organization for control of alien artifacts. The five-issue story will be written by Kathryn Immonen (Journey Into Mystery, Heralds), with art by Rich Ellis (Memorial) and a first issue cover by Michael Komark, with a variant by Gabriel Hardman.

A new Ant-Man ongoing series will launch in January as part of the Avengers NOW! line-up.  Written by Nick Spencer (Morning Glories, Avengers World), with art by Ramon Rosanas (Night of the Living Deadpool, Altas), the first issue will have a main cover by Mark Brooks and variant covers by Chris Samnee and Jason Pearson.  The story will pick up with Scott Lang being recruited by Iron Man (Superior) for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
