20th Century Fox has acquired the film rights to the Dash Shaw graphic novel Doctors, recently released by Fantagraphics Books, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  David Goyer, who directed Blade: Trinity and wrote Man of Steel and Dark Knight, is attached to produce.

The sci-fi story centers around the Charon, a device that allows a doctor’s staff to bring a dead patient back to life for a short time, and the choices that surround its use.

Shaw has had a growing reputation, with Bodyworld, from Pantheon, getting an Eisner nomination and making some "Best" lists (see "PW's Top Ten Graphic Novels").
