Image Comics has announced the new graphic novel Hinges Book One: Clockwork City releasing on February 25th.
Written and drawn by Meredith McClaren (Bee and Puppycat, Adventure Time: Pixel Princesses), Hinges is a fantasy webcomic that tells the story of a doll named Orio, who is new to the city of Cobble. She has an assigned familiar, Bauble, but it has its own agenda, and is less than helpful. Orio is not the only new arrival in Cobble, and as they explore the city, they find out that it only takes a little disruption to upend a city that runs like clockwork.
Intended for young readers ages 9 and up, the 112-page, full color paperback has an MSRP of $15.99.
McClaren self-published a small print run collecting the webcomic in 2013 financed via a Kickstarter campaign.
