Kevin Brunetto of Kevin's Comics in Southington, Connecticutt saw the article on the retailer that shot a burglar (see 'Retailer Shoots, Kills Burglar') and sent us his view:
I also went through what the owner in Lancaster, CA went through, only I was fortunate enough to have no injuries due to the fact that my burglar was an on duty police officer breaking into businesses and I pepper sprayed him. He did have his gun out, and he was a regular customer. Fortunately he knew not to fire his weapon after I surprised him, and he later lost his job. This happened in January 1995 and it was the talk of the town. I hope the owner feels that what he did was necessary because it could have been him dead instead.
