Tokyopop has announced the premiere of five new manga series in July, two of which will be launched with $19.99 limited hardcover editions.

Culdcept Volume 1, by Shinya (Vermillion) Kaneko, is the first in a three-volume series featuring card-shaped relics that will give whoever collects them the power of gods.

Doll Volume 1, by Mitsukazu Miharu, features 'character designs reminiscent of Japanese Visual Kei bands' and 'Gothic Lolita fashion.'  The storyline is about human-like androids called Dolls who serve humans as servants, companions, friends and lovers.  A limited edition hardcover of the first volume is being released in May at $19.99, with the first of six softcover volumes due in July.

Eternity Volume 1, by Jin-Ryong Park and Yong-Kwan Shin, is a comedy/adventure series based on the legendary fable, Romance of the Three Kingdoms.  Three former leaders were killed by the Chinese government and are reincarnated in modern times, leading to mystery, intrigue and slapstick.  The first of five volumes will be released in July.

Evil's Return Volume 1, by Hwan Shin and Jong-kyu Lee, starts the story of a fun-loving high school girl who seems destined to become the mother of evil in an ultra-violent story of love, death and salvation.  This series will run five volumes.

Passion Fruit, by Mari Okazaki, Kaoru Fujiwara and Junko Kawakami, is a three volume series, with each volume devoted to a single manga-ka.  The first volume, by Okazaki, will initially be published in a collector's hardcover at $19.99, with softcovers coming this fall.  The stories deal with innermost secrets and hidden desires.

These five new manga titles join the already announced Saiyuki (see 'Tokyopop to Publish Saiyuki') and five new titles debuting in June (see 'Tokyopop Announces Summer Releases') in Tokyopop's expanding roster.
