IDT Entertainment announced that it has acquired a minority interest in Stan Lee's Pow Entertainment. As part of the deal, IDT will co-produce and co-develop a minimum of six animation projects for direct-to-DVD and broadcast distribution. Lee will create original characters for the new productions in a series entitled Stan Lee Presents.
IDT has been on a tear recently, acquiring interests in Archie Comics (see 'IDT Entertainment Acquires 5% of Archie Comics'), Film Roman (which produces the Simpsons and King of the Hill), Vanguard Animation, and Mainframe Entertainment IDT also owns a video distribution company, Anchor Bay Entertainment Group, which it acquired from the Handleman Company last year.
