Variety is reporting that comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who helped make NBC's Thursday night lineup 'must see' TV, returns to the network on Thursday, May 20 at 8:45 pm, when the network will air The Adventures of Seinfeld & Superman long-form commercials, which are currently available only on the Web. American Express developed the 'Webisodes' featuring Seinfeld and Superman in an attempt to reach the 'hard-to-get' young male demographic, which has increasingly been deserting network television, and which is resistant to hard sell commercials (see 'Superman & Seinfeld Together Again').
