Warner Bros. Consumer Products announced today that it is rolling out a new licensing strategy for Batman at the Licensing International show that will divide Batman merchandise into three separate streams, tied to the audiences for three different manifestations of the property. The three streams will be based on the Batman comics; on Batman, a new animated TV series premiering this fall; and on Batman Begins, the recently renamed Batman feature that's currently shooting and due to bow in theaters next summer (see 'Same Bat Movie, Different Bat Name'). Global toy licensee Mattel will produce toys based on the TV series and feature.
