MediaBlasters is preparing the third and final volume in the Invader Zim DVD series.  Invader Zim Vol. #3: Horrible Holiday Cheer is slated for a late November/early December release and it includes several episodes not aired as part of Zim's original run as well as the infamous Invader Zim Christmas Episode.  The two-disk set includes 9 episodes and has a running time of 225 minutes and a suggested retail price of $24.95.  The first Invader Zim DVD set was released in May, and the second set is currently scheduled for release on August 31.

Created by Jhonen Vasquez, Invader Zim is the cult cartoon hit, that even retailers who don't normally carry DVDs should seriously consider.  Vasquez, the creator of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and Squee, has a devoted following and retailers who sell Johnny the Homicidal Maniac should try and keep the Invader Zim series in stock.  Just as the Johnny comic book series has demonstrated incredible 'legs' as it is discovered by new generations of 'goth' fans, so Invader Zim should continue to lure new fans with its skewed take on the sci-fi cartoons and American society.
