Variety is reporting that screenwriter Ben Ramsey (The Big Hit) has signed a mid six-figure deal to write the screenplay for Twentieth Century Fox's adaptation of Dragon Ball Z.  Dragon Ball Z, arguably the most popular of the three Dragon Ball anime series, has been a major hit in Japan, Europe, North America and South America.

The signing of a high profile writer for the project gives some life to the project, which has been in development at Fox for over two years (see 'Fox Plans Live Action DBZ').

In addition to The Big Hit, DBZ screenwriter Ben Ramsey has just finished writing an adaptation of Marvel's 'Luke Cage' for Sony.
