Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Television Group have announced that Cartoon Network will launch a new preschool animated programming block for weekday mornings next spring.  The first show announced for the new programming block is Krypto.

Cartoon Network plans to differentiate its programming from other preschool programming by eschewing a 'skill-based curriculum' and focusing instead on 'developing, nurturing and valuing a child's sense of humor.'

Paul Dini had been working on Krypto, but has recently left Warner Bros. for other projects (see 'Paul Dini Leaves Warner Bros. Animation').
