According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Self has been signed to rewrite the Deathlok script; the first draft was written by Stu Szicherman and Raven Metzner.  Self has some comics-to-film chops: he wrote the script for the excellent Road to Perdition film, based on a Max Allan Collins graphic novel. 

The Deathlok project has apparently lost a director, however.  Lee Tamahori had been attached with the old script (see 'Deathlok Gets a Director'), but the studio is now looking for a new one, according to the report.
