The IMDB Website is reporting that production will begin on the film version of Marvel's Ghost Rider comic in January at the new $23 million Central City Studios in Australia. The film, which will star Nicholas Cage as Johnny Blaze, appears to be on schedule for a release in 2006 (see 'Marvel Movie Report'). Although its gestation period has been a lot longer than most Marvel-based films -- Cage was originally set to star in a Ghost Rider film back in 2001 (see 'League Eclipses Ghost Rider') -- it appears that this project is finally on track.
