Variety has reported that Geneon will release Appleseed in the U.S. on January 14th.  The animated film, directed by Shinji Aramaki and based on the manga by Masamune Shirow, is the first in a planned series of three (see 'Geneon Will Distribute Appleseed').  The soundtrack music is by Basement Jaxx and Paul Oakenfold.
