Warner Home Video has announced the July 19th release of two DVD versions of the supernatural horror film Constantine, which is based on the DC/Vertigo comic book series Hellblazer. The film will be available in a single-disk version, which contains 18 minutes of extra footage including an alternate ending; and in a double-disk Deluxe Edition, which includes the extra footage as well as commentaries by director Francis Lawrence, producer Akiva Goldsman and screenwriters Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello, plus two documentaries: Conjuring Constantine, From Comic to Film and The Production From Hell.
The Deluxe Edition DVD will also come with an exclusive Hellblazer comic book that includes a reprint of Issue #41 (with the 'Dangerous Habit' story) as well as a Hellblazer short story. The DVD includes a Parental Advisory concerning the enclosed comic, which notes that the content of the comic book 'may not be suitable for children under the age of 17.'
