On Monday, June 27th, from 8:59 pm to 9:02 pm (ET) NBC Universal will present an unprecedented motion picture preview 'roadblock' as all nine of its networks simultaneously telecast the world premiere of the first trailer for Peter Jackson's version of King Kong.  The two-minute and 30 second trailer will be broadcast at the same time on NBC, the Sci Fi Network, the USA Network, Bravo, MSNBC, CNBC, Telemundo, Mun2, and Universal HD -- and it will be broadcast in high definition on NBC and Universal HD.  The estimated potential audience for the combined networks could exceed 109 million viewers, surpassing the total distribution of any previous promotional broadcast.

Peter Jackson, who won an Oscar for Lord of the Rings, has earned the respect of millions of fantasy film fans around the globe, and King Kong, which opens December 14th, should be one of the major films of the winter season.  There should be plenty of King Kong merchandise available this winter including a number of items from Dark Horse (see 'Dark Horse Goes to the Movies') as well as trading cards, action figures and books.
