Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. has signed a multi-year agreement with Marvel Enterprises and Upper Deck Entertainment that gives Konami exclusive worldwide interactive rights to develop games for current and next generation videogame systems based on Upper Deck Entertainment's Marvel Trading Card Game.  Konami had previously secured the rights to a number of other trading card based properties including Yu-Gi-Oh!.

The license will enable Konami to create videogames utilizing Upper Deck's 'Vs. System' game engine, which is designed to support traditional one-on-one dueling competitions with popular Marvel comic book characters.  Konami's agreement with Marvel will allow for the incorporation of Marvel character content into the game and provide Konami with access to Marvel's top superheroes including Spider-Man, the X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, the Avengers, and the Fantastic Four.
