The latest Transformers series to reach America, Transformers Cybertron, is making its broadcast debut as part of the Kids' WB daily cartoon block at 4:30 pm (ET, PT).  Transformers Cybertron has been airing on the cable/satellite-based Cartoon Network, but this is its first stint on broadcast TV.  With a continuing line of toys from Hasbro, and a big budget live action movie in the works, the Transformers remains a very viable property.  IDW recently acquired the license for Transformers comics (see 'More Transformers Comic Series, Trades').

The Kids' WB also plans to broadcast the anime series Viewtiful Joe (see 'Kids WB to Air Viewtiful Joe') later this fall, though it is not clear whether Viewtiful Joe will appear as part of the daily Kids' WB block or as part of the newly expanded Saturday morning Kids' WB cartoon lineup.   The Kids' WB plans to drop its daily afternoon animated kids' block at the end of the year (see 'Kids WB Axes Weekdays').
