Titan Books has secured the worldwide English language rights to an as-yet-untitled tie-in book for the first Tenacious D movie, Tenacious D in: The Pick of Destiny, which is slated for a third quarter release by New Line Cinema. Tenacious D of course is the outrageous musical duo comprised of Jack Black (School of Rock, King Kong) and Kyle Gass.
Titan's companion volume to The Pick of Destiny is currently scheduled for release in October 2006, and it will serve as an 'adults only' guide to the forthcoming film, offering a fully illustrated survey of the comedy rock duo's first film. Packed with color photos, script extracts, and extensive bonus features, Titan promises that the new book will be as foul and fun as 'the D' themselves.
