According to Hollywood Reporter, The Darkness, by Marc Sylvestri, Garth Ennis, and David Wohl, has Hong Kong/Bangkok directors Danny and Oxide Pang attached, in a deal with Scott Rosenberg's Platinum Studios, and Blue Star Pictures. 

 

The videogame rights also recently changed hands.  Majesco recently sold the rights to publish a Darkness videogame (developed by Starbreeze Studios) (along with its Ghost Rider rights) for $8 million.
