Independent publisher Ape Entertainment (Go-Go Gorilla) will publish U.T.F. (Undead Task Force), a former Speakeasy title created by William Wilson (G.I. Joe: Frontline), Scott Reynolds (NBC's E-Ring), and artist Tone Rodriguez (Conan, Snake Plissken, and Violent Messiahs).  Ape is working closely with Diamond Comic Distributors to ensure that retailers who ordered U.T.F. #1 from Speakeasy will receive all the copies they ordered when the first issue debuts in April.

Ape Entertainment is asking retailers to place orders for U.T.F. #2, which is listed in the Speakeasy section of the current March Previews, with the understanding that all orders will be fulfilled by Ape Entertainment.   Subsequent issues will be listed in the Ape Entertainment section of Previews.

U.T.F.'s move to Ape Entertainment is just the latest bit of fallout from the demise of Speakeasy Comics (see 'RIP Speakeasy Comics').  In the wake of Speakeasy's foundering, Open Book Press of Kincardine, Ontario has indicated that it is willing to discuss and review materials from creators who are now left without a publisher due to the closure of Speakeasy Comics on February 27th.
