A Paid Advertisement. PopShopOnline has released the version 2 of its popular online website service for comic retailers. When his father needed a comic book website, and so did his best friend, 20-year comic retailer Lee Bissonnette decided to kill two birds with one stone. Thus was born PopShopOnline. The first dealers, running on Microsoft Access and Frontpage written sites stuck with him as he moved towards upgrading to a CSS and MSSQL version that would support in-store functions, backend management, all sorts of article and event features and pretty much everything his years in retail told him a dealer might need. And now PopShopOnline version 2 is available to comic retailers for less than a dollar a day.
With this new version, PopShopOnline offers every retailer the opportunity to have a world-class website. Priced at $299 per year, retailers subscribing to this service receive hosting on the server at yourname.popshoponline.com which is then linked to their home page at www.yourname.com. In this space is a software package designed to work with the popular Diamond Data retailers already downloaded. Using this data, the site manages in-stock status and displays thousands of in-stock and upcoming items as far out as 3-4 in advance. The site is also populated with images, usually more than 90% of the months' items with over 30,000 images already in the archives.
On top of that, the PopShopOnline version 2 allows retailers to add articles, help files and events, manage users, process orders via the backend interface and even send newsletters to an opt-in audience of their users. New features coming in the first week of May include the 'Back Room' where dealers may post advertisements to a retailer only audience allowing them to post at wholesale prices.
The best part is that PopShopOnline even designs a site for you if you don't have one.
You can be online tomorrow using the PopShopOnline service.
