Anchor Bay is releasing a DVD of Scary Godmother: The Revenge of Jimmy, the sequel to Scary Godmother: Halloween Spooktacular, on August 29th.  Jill Thompson created the Scary Godmother comics and graphic novels, which were published by Sirius, and the Canadian company Mainframe Entertainment has adapted the first two Scary Godmother books into 3-D animated features, which have enjoyed considerable success on the Cartoon Network where they have been shown during the run-up to Halloween (see 'Scary Godmother 2 on the Cartoon Network').

Scary Godmother: The Revenge of Jimmy has a running time of 44-minutes and features Jill Thompson's excellent character designs, which generally manage to triumph over Mainframe's rather pedestrian (when compared with Pixar or Dreamworks) 3-D animation.  Anchor Bay's DVD edition (MSRP $14.98) contains a number of extras including deleted scenes, a 'Fright Side Chat,' storyboards, and interviews.
