Marvel announced at the recently concluded Diamond Retailer Summit in Baltimore that J. Michael Straczynski will script a Thor ongoing series.  With a high profile writer on the comic, and a Thor movie also in the pipe (see 'Marvel Movie Slate Takes Shape'), the 'God of Thunder' has a chance to move up in the pantheon of Marvel heroes to something closer to his past popularity.
