The Soft Garage anime studio has set up an English language Website for its upcoming Giant Robo anime.  According to the Anime News Service, Soft Garage is planning an overseas release of its new Giant Robo anime in the U.S.  Certainly setting up an English language Website before the project is even announced in Japan is unprecedented, and is a strong indication that something akin to an international release of the new Giant Robo anime is in the offing.

The pioneer manga-ka Misuteru Yokoyama, who created the original Gigantor (Tetsujin 28) back in the 1960s, also created Giant Robo, and the new Giant Robo anime is part of a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the original publication of the Giant Robo manga in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1967. 

Although an official announcement will probably not come until later this month at the Tokyo Film Festival, fans of giant robot anime will probably get a chance to see the new version of Giant Robo sometime in 2007.
