DC Direct has announced that the first series of Pocket Super Heroes, its new line of 3-3.25' action figures, will ship in July 2002.  The series will consist of four two-figure sets:  Dr. Mid-Nite & the Atom, Aquaman and Black Manta, Green Lantern & Sinestro, and Starman & the Shade.  Each two-figure set will be packaged together in a 4-color blisterpack, with backdrop art and story card with a plastic stand, at a $9.95 retail.  Diamond Comic Distributors will be soliciting orders for the first series in its January catalogue.  

 

DC is supporting the launch with a sampling program this week.  A free Golden Age Wonder Woman Pocket Super Hero was included with the Solomon Grundy figure that arrived in stores this week, and a free figure was also sent to each DC retailer.
