The iconic Archie Comics characters Betty and Veronica are getting an artistic makeover with new character designs by artist Steven Butler.  Butler's reconfigured creations will debut in Betty and Veronica Double Digest #151 in a new story 'Bad Boy Trouble' written by Melanie J. Morgan.  The delicious duo's new style, which involves new hairstyles and sharper more angular chin lines, will only be featured in one 4-part story.  Archie Comics plans to wait and see what its readers think of the new character designs before using them in additional stories and comics. 

Such is the iconic power of Betty and Veronica that their comic book makeover has already received attention from NBC's The Today Show as well as the syndicated Live With Regis and Kelly.
