Independent Film Channel launches a new anime block this Friday, January 5th, at 11 p.m. with Gunslinger Girl and Basilisk.  Four episodes of Basilisk originally aired in October (see ''Basilisk' Anime on IFC'), but all episodes are now on the docket beginning Friday.  Gunslinger Girl had previously been announced as starting January 12th (see 'IFC Adds Gunslinger Girl').

Samurai 7, which had previously aired on IFC, is off the schedule, but should be back later in the year.
