Precedence Entertainment has closed its doors.  Former employee and investor Jim Burleson said he was told, '...that Precedence was quietly drifting away,' and that there were no assets to satisfy remaining debts.  Those debts included back wages and a loan from Burleson, who admitted, 'I should have left earlier.'

Burleson said that the remaining Rifts CCG product was going to Palladium, to whom the license had reverted when a payment was missed.  Sack Army product went to Tierney Games.  The Wheel of Time and Babylon 5 licenses had previously been lost.

A shipping company was another creditor, but the printer was not, because payments from Precedence customers went directly to the printer to pay printing costs.  According the Burleson, Precedence '...built up as much debt as money came in.'
