Porchlight Entertainment is joining forces with Hidden City Games to create an animated television series and long-form film content based on the magical world of Bella Sara horses.  Under the agreement Porchlight, which has extensive experience in producing animated programming for kids, will have the worldwide rights to animated productions based on the Bella Sara brand.  Porchlight plans on creating a 26-episode half-hour Bella Sara animated series that will explore the world of the 12-year-old Emma and her horse Wings in the mystical world of North of North.  Future projects could also include animated features, either theatrical or direct-to-DVD.

Bella Sara, which was created in Denmark, has become, under the guiding hand of Hidden City Games, the most successful trading card product ever developed for girls.  The horse-themed fantasy cards offer positive, inspirational messages, and each card includes a unique code that activates, at the Bella Sara Website, the virtual version of the horse on the card.

No date for the debut of the animated series, which targets girls from 6-11, has yet been announced.  Porchlight Entertainment has produced more than 40 animated and live-action movies and several major animated series including the Emmy Award-winning Tutenstein.
