Paizo’s Pathfinder, one of the most successful RPG launches of recent years, is following up its 2009 releases with a strong Q1 2010 slate, including the Pathfinder RPG: GameMastery Guide, due out in March ($39.99). This 320-page, full color hardcover goes beyond the Core Rulebook to offer gamers more tools with which to enjoy their Pathfinder games. It includes campaign basics, a chapter on handling players and their characters, tips for creating Non-Player Characters, advice for handling treasure and rewards, suggestions for world-building, advanced GM techniques, and additional advanced rules. The cover is by Wayne Reynolds.
Other Q1 Pathfinder releases include the Pathfinder Chronicles: NPC Guide ($19.99, February), a 64-page reference tool for creating Non-Player Characters; Pathfinder Chronicles: Classic Treasures Revisited ($19.99, March), a 64-page tool with six pages for each classic treasure; Pathfinder Adventure Path #31: Stolen Land ($19.99, February), a 96-page adventure for 1st-level characters; Pathfinder Companion:
Adventurer’s Armory ($10.99, February), a 32-page reference with over 100 items; and Gamemastery Face Cards: Enemies ($10.99, March), a 54-card deck with full-color illustrations, to enhance villains in campaigns.
These are only a portion of the 17 Paizo releases in Q1 2010.
