Mayfair Games will release Builder’s Duel, a new expansion for Pillars of the Earth (based on the Ken Follett novel), in January.  The expansion allows players to take on the roles of Prior Philip ands Bishop Waleran, who plan to build a cathedral and a fortress, respectively, at the same time.  Players compete in the quest for resources and support to complete their building first. 

Pillars of the Earth:  Builder’s Duel is for two players, ages 10+, and can be played in around 45 minutes.  Stefan Feld designed the expansion.  MSRP is $25.00. 

An eight-hour, $40 million TV miniseries based on Pillars of the Earth is in production and is expected to hit television next year.
