Hero Games has announced the upcoming release of two new books for the sixth edition of the Hero System RPG. Fantasy Hero is scheduled to release at Gen Con in August, and the Hero System Bestiary: Monsters is planned for June.
Fantasy Hero extends the Hero System into the most popular role-playing genre. Everything players need to create fantasy campaigns and characters are included, all using the updated Sixth Edition rules. Templates for popular fantasy archetypes, magic spells, monsters, and fantastic worlds are featured. Written by Steven Long, Fantasy Hero will have a suggested retail price of $41.99. The Hero System Bestiary: Monsters is a sourcebook for animals, monsters, and similar characters for use with any Hero System genre. Everything from fantasy creatures to science fiction robots and aliens are included. Culturally specific creatures are also described in the book. Written by Steven Long. Suggested retail is $34.99.
