Confirming rumors from last week (see “Curtains for Heroes”), NBC has announced that its superhero drama Heroes is canceled. But it’s also adding a new one-hour drama, The Cape, with a superhero theme, according to Hollywood Reporter. The new series tells the story of a police officer framed for multiple murders and forced into hiding who becomes The Cape, his son’s favorite superhero, and takes the law into his own hands.
