The days of the aviation pioneers is the subject of Martin Wallace’s new game design, Aeroplanes: Aviation Ascendant, scheduled for release in May from Mayfair Games.

In the game, players compete to build a passenger airline during the tumultuous 1920s and 30s.  Set at the dawn of international commercial aviation, a period of intense technological development, players must invest in up-to-date aircraft, secure lucrative routes, and expand into underserved areas.  The player with the most successful airline is the winner.

Martin Wallace is known for his sophisticated strategy boardgames, with carefully balanced mechanics and a low amount of luck.

Aeroplanes: Aviation Ascendant is designed for three to five players, and requires more than two hours to play.  The suggested retail price will be $50.00.
