Silly and impossible car racing is the theme for Cryptozoic Entertainment's up-coming board game Hot Rod Creeps.  Designed by Matt Hyra as a quick and light casual game, it is scheduled for release later this month.

Hot Rod Creeps allows two to six players to create their own custom racetracks, using puzzle-cut board pieces featuring a variety of implausible obstacles.  Each racer also creates a custom deck of cards to represent the "gas tank" of a racing car.  The unlikely racing teams include "Epic Battle Wizards," "Food Fight," and "Aliens," among others.  Each team has a different set of cards to pick from, giving them their own unique racing styles.

"This is just a really fun game," Cryptozoic president Cory Jones said in a press release.  "We’ve focused on making sure that each race can be as unique and challenging as players want.  At 30-45 minutes a game, it’s fast-paced racing excitement the whole way through."

The game includes everything needed to play, including 186 game cards and 50 double-sided track pieces.  The suggested retail price will be $45.00.  The release will be supported with on-line contests and promotions.
