Sony will distribute a 3D feature film based on Rovio’s Angry Birds in 2016.  The film will be exec-produced by former Marvel exec David Maisel.

A series of shorts (see "'Angry Birds' Gets Cartoon Series") was released this year, with over 150 million views generated through the Angry Birds apps alone in the first six weeks.

The Angry Birds and Bad Piggies games have been downloaded 1.7 billion times across platforms and versions.
