Just ahead of GAMA, Steve Jackson Games has announced several June/July releases: the first release of Munchkin Legends to the hobby trade, the expansion Legends 2 – Faun and Games, Munchkin Board of Health, and new dice game Hipster Dice. There will be a hobby trade launch kit for Munchkin Legends 2.
The Munchkin Legends game, which until now has been a Target exclusive (see "Target 'Munchkin' Exclusive"), will ship to hobby retailers in June, with an MSRP of $24.95. Munchkin Legends 2--Faun and Games is a 56-card expansion, which will include the new Faun race, and such cards as "Spear of Density," "J.R.R. Trollkin," "Hell Toupee" and "Wendigo." MSRP is $10.95.
Steve Jackson is supporting the expansion launch (and the first release of the core game to the hobby) with the Munchkin Legends 2 Launch Kit, which includes six copies of Munchkin Legends 2--Faun and Games, a bonus copy of Munchkin Legends, 12 copies of a new promo card, and a poster. The kit will be released a few weeks earlier than the Legends 2 individual boxed game.
Munchkin Board of Health is a two-sided game board for Munchkin Cthulhu and Munchkin Zombies. The board boasts a dungeon room for every level, and spaces for decks and discards. The box also contains two sets of male/female tokens in six colors, matching colored markers with special in-game bonuses for each player, and eight new cards (four each for Munchkin Cthulhu and Munchkin Zombies). MSRP is $19.95.
Steve Jackson Games will also release the new Hipster Dice game. Tongue-in-cheek copy claims it is "(b)ased on the underground German phenomenon, Nichteinechteswürfelspiel, and updated with vintage rules." MSRP is $4.95.
