Konami Digital Entertainment will host its next Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series event in Philadelphia on May 17-18 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Exhibit Hall B in Philadelphia, PA.
Pre-registration runs Friday May 16th from 3 – 7pm and offers registrants who submit a Deck list an event-exclusive YCS Token Card. Players will also receive five Primal Origin booster packs.
The event will feature Dragon Duels for the younger players (born 2001 or later) on Saturday and Sunday. A new event format is now in effect, where the winner of Saturday will play against the Sunday winner to determine the YCS Dragon Duel Champion.
Debuting at YCS Atlanta this year, Konami introduced a new format for the Top 16 Duelists (see "First YCS of 2014--Atlanta Tournament"). The Top 16 will construct their Decks by drafting Battle Pack 2: War of the Giants--Round 2.
The winner of the event will receive an Ultra Rare version of the Number 106: Giant Hand prize card, paid travel to a World Championship Qualifier (or if underage, winner and guardian), YCS Top Cut Game Mat, 8GB gaming system, and an invite to their 2014 World Championship Qualifier tournament.
Public events will include Regional Qualifiers, 3 vs. 3 Team Dueling, Attack of the Giant Card!!, Win-A-Mats, Cyber Dragon Revolution Structure Deck Tournaments, and Sealed Pack Tournaments for Battle Pack 2: War of the Giants--Round 2, featuring exclusive Starfoil prize cards only available at premier events.
