Cryptozoic Entertainment will release a new two-player Collectors Pack featuring princess character decks for its popular Adventure Time: Card Wars game.  Adventure Time Card Wars: Princess Bubblegum vs Lumpy Space Princess releases August 27th.
 
With this release, players can finally put those new NiceLands cards previewed in the For the Glory! Booster Set to good use (see "'Adventure Time Card Wars' Booster" and "Preview: 'Adventure Time Card Wars: For the Glory! Booster Set'").  The Princess Bubblegum deck is a NiceLands deck, and NiceLands creatures can use damage on them to make them better (there is a special sweet spot of damage for these creatures, and a player may even resort to damaging its own creatures to activate that effect).
 
Lumpy Space Princess’s deck has the advantage of being both a Useless Swamps and Blue Plains deck – the first duel-color deck introduced in the game.  Both locations draw power from being able to mine a player’s discard pile, another new advantage.
 
The two 40-card decks contain about 97% new content, including nearly 50 never-before-seen cards.  The box also contains 8 oversized Land Tiles, and an assortment of Hit Point Tokens.  The game is for 2 players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 15 -30 minutes.  MSRP is $20.00. 
 
The new game was exceedingly popular from initial release (see "Crypto Execs on 'Adventure Time Card Wars'"), and came in at #7 on ICv2’s Spring Top 10 Card/Dice Games (see "Top 10 Card/Dice Games--Spring 2014").
