Video Business is reporting that Warner Home Video has cut off Electronics Boutique because the videogame retailer began selling the Lord of the Rings:  Return of the King DVD ten days before the street date.  EB also reportedly refused to stop selling the title when asked.  Warners has asked its distributors to stop selling to the chain indefinitely.

EB's CEO, Jeff Griffiths, was sanguine about the loss of the (to EB) sideline supplier.  He was quoted by Video Business as saying, 'It's nothing to worry about.  We do virtually no business with Warner Home Video.'
