In stores this October, Vampire: A Hunger Like Fire is the first in all-new series of paperback novels set in White Wolf's new World of Darkness.  Written by popular author Greg Stolze (Demon: Ashes & Angel Wings, Days of Fire, Unknown Armies), Hunger begins the tale of the undead of Chicago.  In this story of personal horror, readers meet Persephone Moore, a vampire who seemingly has it all -- looks, brains, ambition, and an unquenchable hunger for the blood of the living.  But with every night she feels herself grow a little colder, a little more monstrous.

Hunger is only the first in an unlimited series of novels telling the story of a related group of vampires in Chicago.  Readers can jump aboard at any time, but reading every novel in turn will reveal the full tapestry of the Danse Macabre.  Similar series based on other World of Darkness games are planned for early 2005 to coincide with the release of Werewolf: The Forsaken and Mage: The Awakening.

Vampire: A Hunger Like Fire (WW11235; ISBN 1-58846-862-3; 288-page mass-market paperback; $6.99 US) features cover by artist Jason Alexander.  Its release is supported by trade advertising and exclusive online excepts available at:
