Privateer Press has announced two major product initiatives for the summer, the WARMACHINE expansion, WARMACHINE: Apotheosis in August and No Quarter Magazine in July. The core of the WARMACHINE: Apotheosis expansion is a 144-page, full color volume retailing for $34.99 that advances the WARMACHINE storyline and adds new warjacks and warcasters. The book also includes a new map-based campaign system providing story-driven play.
The WARMACHINE: Apotheosis expansion includes not only the book, which features art from Chippy Dugan, Brian Snoddy, Matt Wilson and Brian Despain, but also 5 new figure skus for each of the game's four factions. The largest of the 20 new figures includes 30 parts and is nearly three times the weight of previous heavy warjacks.
No Quarter Magazine, a bi-monthly full color zine focusing on all Privateer Press product lines, launches a month earlier in July. It will include hobby and modeling articles, original fiction, new art, new miniature releases and stats, as well as behind-the-scenes articles with Privateer Press design and production staff. The first issue will include a story by fantasy novelist Edward Bolme that will set the stage for the WARMACHINE: Apotheosis expansion.
Commemorating the premier of No Quarter Magazine will be a special retailer incentive tying directly into the grand storyline presented in its first issue. Stores pre-ordering No Quarter Magazine will be allowed to purchase a special new sculpt of the Captain Victoria Haley WARMACHINE Model, available only in stores through this offer during the release of the magazine. No Quarter Magazine will be available in stores on July 6th and will retail for $5.99.
