Jeremy Crawford, Lead Designer for Dungeons & Dragons at Wizards of the Coast, is leaving the company.
In a statement posted to Facebook on April 25, Crawford stated:
"Nearly 18 years ago, I joined the D&D team at Wizards of the Coast to work on the game that has inspired me and so many others. In my years on the team, I worked with amazing writers, editors, art directors, artists, graphic designers, and others to create numerous D&D books, including the core books for fifth edition D&D.
"Today I’m departing Wizards of the Coast to embark on new quests. I can’t wait to see the great things ahead for D&D, and I look forward to seeing many of you at conventions in the years ahead. May all your adventures be magical!"
Crawford joined Wizards of the Coast in 2007 following a stint at Green Ronin Publishing as co-designer for the Blue Rose role-playing game. At Wizards of the Coast he worked on numerous Dungeons & Dragons products, serving as rules manager for the 4th Edition and Co-Lead Designer for 5th Edition, including the 2024 version of the Player’s Handbook.
