Mayfair has announced the first new releases out of its relationship with Phalanx (see 'Mayfair to Represent Phalanx Games').  Alexander the Great, by Ronald Hofstaetter and Dietmar Keusch allows players to follow in the path of the great conqueror, acquiring points for the occupation of provinces and for the founding of temples and cities.  The player with the most points at game's end may name him/herself Alexander the Great.  The game is for two to five players ages 10 and up, and plays in about 75 minutes.

In Trump, Tricks, Game, by Gunter Burkhardt, players try to make tricks to get bear, wolf, wild boar, and mouflon cards.  The game is for three to four players ages eight and up and plays in about 30 minutes.
